LG/NVIDIA were the first to announce they would have a dual-core processor (Tegra 2) in a handset by Q4 2010 as part of their Optimus line. The Tegra 2 uses two 1Ghz processors to share the workload and improve all the various things you love to do on your phone! Such as web browsing, game play, & HD playback. Read more at AndroidGuys
